Ingredients
  • ½ oz Mephisto absinthe
  • 3 oz cognac (I used Claude Chatelier XO)
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
  • lemon peel for garnish
Instructions
  1. Add absinthe to a chilled Old Fashioned glass and swirl to coat the inside, shaking off the excess.
  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  3. Add the cognac, simple syrup and bitters to the glass and stir to combine.
  4. Twist lemon peel over top and drop in.
