Well, I am sure everyone knew I was up to something when I made a loaf of banana bread, right? Of course I was… I had this idea for banana bread french toast and I just had to try it. And guess what? It was delicious! So I am here to share with you what I did… let’s get cooking!
Banana Bread French Toast
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Add the vanilla, cream, and spices (if desired) into the beaten eggs and mix well. Heat a griddle or large frying pan over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into a large plate or pie plate to allow the dredging of the bread slices.
Brush the griddle or frying pan lightly with butter. Dredge each piece of banana bread into the egg mixture coating both sides then place on the griddle. Cook for 3 – 4 minutes per side (depending on the heat of your burner) then re-dredge the slice in the egg mixture and cook a second time. When both sides are done, plate and serve with syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, jelly/jam, or whatever you desire. Enjoy!
